December Shipping Deadline
This year's deadline date is Friday
December 6th 2024
Each year we propose a deadline date in December that gives us sufficient time to have your
package
available locally.
Once we receive your pre-alerted package at our Miami office in shippable
condition by Friday 6th December,
we will have it available for you locally before Christmas.
We'll still be shipping items even after that deadline above - that's just our buffer-date.
Why do we need that extra time?
Delays are the inescapable reality of peak-season shipping. Everyone prepares for the
increase in shipments i.e. our Miami office, the airlines, TT Customs and of course our
local team. However, even the smallest hiccups can slow things down.
As such, that buffer is needed to accommodate the inevitable delays that are outside our
control.
What exactly is shippable condition?
First, every package must be properly addressed i.e. labelled with the
account holder’s name and WEB# exactly matching the account
on our system.
If your legally recognized name differs from what’s registered with us, email us at
customerservice@shipwebsource.com
to have it updated. You will need to provide proof of your legal name via a government issued ID.
Second, you must pre-alert all items correctly:
For orders that are split during shipping, on each pre-alert enter the value of the actual items in that specific shipment.
You may upload the entire invoice, but ensure the value of your prealert matches the value of the items actually shipped.

Finally, there are some exceptions which include:
- Prohibited or restricted items e.g. gun parts, camouflage-patterned items
- Hazardous materials e.g. hoverboards, aerosol spray cans, flammable liquids
- Items received damaged e.g. broken or spilled contents
We will send prompt email notifications for items we receive with any such issues.
Delivery Update Delays
US Postal Service (USPS)
If your package was shipped via USPS, they will hold it at their facility, mark it as Delivered and allow us to collect during one of our scheduled pickups at their facility.
Our processing begins when we physically receive it
from the Post Office, which may actually be several days after their "delivered" update.
Other US Delivery Providers
The other large US Delivery Providers will be handing over bulk deliveries to us i.e. containers/truck loads and marking the entire shipment as delivered.
As such, you will receive their delivery notification first.
We will handle the offloading/sorting/processing steps which will result in a later notification of our "Received in Miami" update.
We invite you to login to your Web Source account via our
website or
mobile app to add your pre-alerts, view your package progress or even pay for your items.
Thanks to everyone for choosing us to ship your packages this year.
We're doing all we can to keep our promise to you in the hectic season ahead.
